Job Responsibility:
- Be competent to assemble, erect, install, maintain and repairs to various types of mechanical equipment.
Ensure that corrective and preventative maintenance works orders are completed in a safe and efficient manner.- Correctly use and maintain the tools of the trade including power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments.
Minimize machine downtime. Use and maintain relevant measuring instruments and standards. Carry out simple sheet metal work and pipe work.
- Comply with BEST Vision, Quality, Health and Safety policies. Perform electric and gas welding, hard soldering and brazing.
Install, maintain and repair various types of mechanical components and equipment. Participate to continuous improvement programs.- Be involved in the development of the necessary maintenance procedures required to ensure that machine availability/reliability is maintained to the highest level.
Perform other duties and functions as may be required by Superior.
Job Requirement:
- A Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment.- Knowledge of workshop technology covering welding, fabrication processes, machine and hand tools, measuring instruments.
Knowledge of operating and maintenance principles of mechanical plant and machinery. Be able to read engineering drawings.
- Good installation practices. Excellent communication, numeracy skills and basic computer skills.
