Responsible for building and leading a mechanical design team dedicated to advanced internal and external antenna programs. Proven ability to lead, develop, manage, and inspire a diverse, global team across multiple regions, with a strong track record of delivering top-tier, innovative electro-mechanical solutions to market.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team for innovative antenna solutions, ensuring timely market delivery and cost optimization.
- Oversee mechanical design and analysis, ensuring compliance with performance requirements, standards, and regulations from concept to mass production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize design for manufacturability, cost, and quality.
- Assess risks and ensure compliance in areas of responsibility.
- Drive continuous improvement in mechanical design processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Manage and improve proto shop capabilities with technician support.
- Travel as needed to address customer issues and meet program milestones.
- Mentor interns and junior engineers to build a strong talent pipeline.
- Promote concept re-use and alignment with the long-term product roadmap.
- Foster innovation and provide technical guidance for future technology development.
- Achieve efficiency and productivity improvements in organizational operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
- Over 6 years of leadership experience with a proven track record in delivering innovative antenna solutions and managing talent.
- More than 15 years of expertise in mechanical design for diverse products, from wearables to large antenna systems.
- Strong grasp of product development processes, applying first principles to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Hands-on experience in CNC, tooling, molding, stamping, plating, assembly, and dies.
- Proficient in 2D/3D CAD modeling tools like CREO or SolidWorks, and simulation tools (FEA).
- Skilled in qualifying and managing Project-Based Learning (PBL) activities.
- Excellent communication skills for leadership and stakeholder presentations.
