We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer Lead for a consumer products manufacturer based in Malaysia. This position requires your urgent attention.

the role
- Manages production machinery maintenance: Schedules, oversees breakdowns, allocates resources, and analyzes performance.
- Ensures safety and compliance: Maintains production & equipment safety following DOSH & DOE standards.
- Leads and motivates a team: Supervises subordinates, ensuring attendance, performance, and commitment.
- Optimizes production: Identifies and solves downtime issues, recommends preventative actions, and liaises with departments to achieve production goals.
- Develops staff: Conducts training needs analysis (TNA) for team members.
- Manages improvement and innovation: Collaborates with engineers on machine improvements, new equipment, and modifications.
the experience
- Degree (preferably Mechanical Engineering) + 5 years experience in a related field, including strong technical skills and project management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with active listening and the ability to build strong relationships and motivate a team.
- Proven ability to identify and solve production issues, conduct training needs analysis, and analyze equipment performance.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment according to DOSH & DOE standards and good personal hygiene practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and presentation skills.
