Role: Manual Tester
Location.KL, Malaysia -Onsite
Job type: Contract
Exp: 1 to 5 Years
Notice period: available to join immediately
Responsibility:
- Plan and prepare test plan, test scripts/ test cases based on functional and/or technical requirements
- Plan, request and/or prepare test data required to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Participate in discussions and provide feedback on test environment requests (if applicable)
- Execute testing based on test strategy, test plan and test cases
- Log defects in defect management tool and participate in defect calls (if applicable) to ensure timely escalation and defect resolution
- Retest failed test cases once defects are fixed
- Provide daily and weekly update on test statistics covering test execution progress and defects
- Identify and escalate challenges and/or issues that are roadblocks and/or showstopper for testing
- Work closely with business user(s), developer(s), IT support(s) and/or vendor(s) throughout the testing lifecycle
Qualification & Skillset Required
- Minimally 1 To 5 years of testing experience in manual testing (banking products at least 6 Months added advantage and preferable)
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Ability to read, understand a requirement and build test cases off of it, ensuring requirement traceability matrix is observed
- Demonstrates in depth knowledge and proven track record in software testing lifecycle, both in traditional waterfall approach and/or agile testing
- Demonstrates an organized approach in providing test statistics and defects statistics as well as maintaining clear documentation of test results, defect logs
- Demonstrates experience in using defect management tool
- Demonstrates ability to articulate clearly challenges/ issues encountered and defects in meetings e.g, defect calls, or in written communication e.g. reports
