Vice President Malaysia for Sales Area Volvo Trucks International
Are you an experienced leader with a background within retail and sales, passionate about business development, winning deals and having a strong people focus Ticking most of the boxes is a good start if you are interested in joining our team as our new Vice President for Volvo Trucks Malaysia, a role responsible for executing the business strategy and for managing the network performance in Malaysia.
You will contribute to the transformation of our company, the industry and the society at large, sustainability is one of our top priorities! You will be responsible for the management of the total brand portfolio, including product offerings and providing high quality services to our customer base. You will ensure effective teamwork, coordination, and general direction to reflect and promote the companys mission, vision, aspirations and values.
You will report to the SVP of Volvo Trucks International and is a member of the Sales Area management team. Our management team is a global team, we have a tight cooperation and really enjoy working together, we laugh a lot and are also passionate about delivering on our promises!
In this role, this will be your main focus and responsibilities:
Your team needs to understand where we are heading, your role is to translate the Sales Areas Business Strategies to key focus areas for your market and together with the team deliver on strategies, securing you have sufficient actions and tools to support an effective and efficient trucks sales and aftersales business.
We take leadership seriously, on of your top priorities is to develop the organization and people, including our retail businesses and our partners. As a good team player, you will surely also attract, develop and retain your talented team and secure/allocate necessary resources to carry out the activities at hand.
Celebrating yet another successful year in sales is a big driver for us, your role will be to optimize and develop the brand portfolio strategy making sure we do our best to stay in the lead!
We love always being on top of our numbers, one of your important tasks will be to secure fulfilment of financial (sales, GP, S&A, over-due and inventories) and operational (market share, retail performance, customer satisfaction) KPIs in accordance with Volvo Trucks framework, We are sure you will be successful if you take actions to search for synergies, set up appropriate objectives, monitor performance and follow up on results.
Happy customers will bring more business, the distribution network is the heart of our organization. You and the team have the important task of accelerating efforts, communicate, drive the vision and initiate activities to improve customer satisfaction and securing our retail network is best in class.

Experience of leading, mentoring and coaching teams to perform and deliver top quality services is essential. Life will be easier if you already have had a position with some senior line management and P&L experience and if leading according to Volvo Group Leadership framework and acting as a coach comes natural to you.
We cannot deny having a good understanding of truck sales, retail business environment and customer needs within the area of commercial vehicles will be very helpful for you.
Working in a global context makes the role even more interesting, having the ability to work successfully in a global organization and intercultural context will be beneficial. That you are fluent in both speaking and writing English language comes naturally when working within a multicultural team

The HQ of Volvo Trucks International is located in Gothenburg.
