Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The Manager is a critical role in demonstrating leadership, strategic direction, accountability, strong cadence in youth engagement & social-led advocacy work.

The talent is expected to leverage on his/her experience, knowledge, and skill set in responding to clients brief on CSR especially youth & social impact related campaigns briefs, designing CSR, youth & social program modules for community engagement, on-ground activation and/or educational content design and implementation, project execution & fieldwork delivery in addition to impact report analysis.

Core focus of the talent work centers on empowering young people, fostering social responsibility, and driving meaningful social impact while driving synergistic & strategic collaboration with external 3rd parties e.g. corporate clients, NGOs/social enterprises.

The role also requires the Youth & Social Impact Manager to be commercially minded, recognizing opportunities for new streams of revenues with maximized profitability. The talent is expected to think ahead of the pack, drive excellent community engagement work and inculcate a culture of excellence (i.e. work smart & work effectively) with the team. His/her mindset is to go above and beyond client expectations and consistently lead the team by example.

KEY ACTIVITIES

PROJECT EXECUTION & MANAGEMENT:

  • Demonstrate quality briefing and ensuring the external 3rd party engaged produces the highest standard at all levels on every project - on brief, on time and on budget
  • Build and develop trust-based working relationship with targeted community e.g. youth/B40/women, etc for long term win-win collaboration
  • Demonstrate proactive solution-based thinking and project delivery
  • Have operational, as well as managerial contribution to each project and Add value to the client's business
  • Ensure that the highest quality of work is produced profitably, within available budget
  • Work with project leads with a good grasp on budgets, deliverables and timelines to develop in addition to manage implementation plans accordingly, including post implementation preparation (e.g.letter of approval from Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri before schools recruitment commences).

IMPACT MEASUREMENT & REPORT ANALYSIS:

STRATEGY, BRAND & IDEATION SKILLS:

  • To support the development of ideation proposals on youth & social impact led initiatives/CSRs campaigns with robust insights of the target audience/segment in need in addition to determine the execution feasibility (e.g. logistical/community outreach challenges) & scope of project/campaign deliverables.
  • Comprehensive understanding of client's CSR needs, challenges and objectives together with detailed understanding of operational day-to-day.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of developing the youth & social impact strategy, ideation & amplification of campaign to achieve client's branding/CSR objectives.
  • Identify revenue opportunities with Ideation and Business Intelligence teams and develop holistic youth & social impact led proposals to go to market. Work with the data analytics team to recommend and drive impact report to measure campaign.

COMMUNICATION:

  • Articulate and confident to lead senior level client meetings and presentations
  • Able to sell ideas, concepts and work streams with conviction, enthusiasm, confidence and full commitment
  • Able to oversee workflow effectively, with comprehensive understanding of processes/ procedures.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communications skills
  • Capable of outlining, organizing, writing and delivering presentations/proposals
  • Demonstrating efficient and effective leadership skills to your immediate reports.

TEAM MENTORSHIP:

  • Mentor the senior executive to maximize the young talent's growth with guidance & career road mapping in the area of youth & social-led impact work and capacity building.
  • Acts as a positive role model through example.
  • Proactively keep abreast of industry trends and share knowledge with the team.

Others:

  • Any other tasks or duties that may be assigned from time to time.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCES

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in CSR, youth programs, community engagement, or social advocacy, with at least 2-3 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of designing and executing successful CSR campaigns and youth engagement initiatives.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, including partnerships with corporate clients, NGOs, social enterprises, and government agencies.
