About the role
Manager_ CMO Technical Packing SEAT mainly be responsible for the;
Collaboration with the Supply Chain innovation leadership team and artwork supervision team to ensure the end-to-end process lead times are achieved across all sites for Packaging Design. You will also identify opportunities to harmonize the packaging to simplify portfolio production and improve the cost of goods with build a robust master plan to deliver technical innovation pipeline with new technology, new material sciences, new design outlook, design to value creation from day one, sustainability program, value engineering initiatives & purely science-based packaging innovation looking at end to end supply chain complexity.
Commits to deliver packaging innovation success criteria, follow review process, risk mitigation and overcome technical challenges, coordinating with sites team and quality team to deliver results which will help business to build top line or bottom line depending on project scope.
Role Responsibilities
Provide innovative & sustainable packaging solutions to deliver agreed projects, including, NPIs, promotion packs, E-commerce business, value engineering, alternate source qualification, quality improvement, customer & consumer complaint reduction & technical support to the whole quality supply chain & LOC commercial
Drive packaging sustainability agenda by collaboratively working with internal & external stakeholders
Identify & deliver value engineering project with close collaboration with SRT & render fit for purpose specification for GSK products
Ensure packaging components & packaging equipments across CMOs & GMS sites are validated to latest standards
Manage packaging performance monitoring system within end-to-end QSC (supplier defects & deviations, manufacturing deviations, consumer & customer complaints & line performance)
Drive & deliver packaging performance improvement projects & troubleshooting issues w.r.t packaging
Work with CMOs to develop capability on packaging development, changes & technical know-how .
Lead competition landscaping activity & suggest most apt packaging solutions to supply chain to drive cost optimization
Operate with discipline: Leveraging a disciplined but enabling approach to drive consistent results and process, anticipating action to come by forward planning, reviewing progress and seek help whenever needed with full accountability
Risk taking ability: demonstrating calculated risk-taking ability with a rigor to maximize learning
Collaboration and communication: need to collaborate with critical internal & external stake holders seeking input and navigating the project fully as a SME.
Why you
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience Required is 10 - 12 years.
Bachelors degree in engineering.
Specialization in Material Science, Packaging Technology, Mechanical
Understand basic of materials and packaging process technologies especially for the equipment related to mechanical /functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working in the technical and field and versed with the techno commercial details of the tech packaging.
Good communication skills and ability to handle multiple stake holders.
The role will deal with the multiple global programs in the BU and globally and hence good communication is must.
Project Management experience
Experience in artwork development and printing component is an additional skill set.
Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Experience in packaging/packing development in one or more companies operating in Healthcare, Food and Beverage, ideally a multinational FMCG company.
