Team and Role Introduction:
As Finance Business Partner at Lazada SEA, the role is to provide support and advice to business team from a financial perspective, with a focus on:
- Business Partnering: Partner and advise Business Unit management in driving business and financial performance
- Business Governance Policy & Process: Setup and maintain financial governance policies, process and systems to support the business
- Country/Regional finance operation: Support 6 ventures operation process, enhance and streamline the efficiency and improve overall process management
Responsibilities:
Role scope includes the following (but not limited to):
Business Partnering
- Review and monitor overall performance for the business unit, providing financial insights, analysis and recommendations
- Partner closely with Regional and local business team on overall business model, revenue projections and evaluation of regional-wide/local tailored business proposals (e.g. new solutions, partnerships)
- Work closely with business team, product team and cross domain FBPs to provide timely, accurate budget and revenue reforecasts
Business Governance Policy & Process
- Setup and maintain financial governance frameworks and policies for business unit to ensure governance on key financial decisions
- Develop finance business requirements and functionalities to enable automation and finance governance controls
- Work with finance functions (e.g. accounting, tax, risk control, treasury) to setup finance policies and processes within the system and support localization needs of ventures
Country/Regional finance operation
- Build up domain knowledge and competency for specific support venture
- Support venture required financial operation process, identify potential improvement areas and drive efficiency enhancement
- Work closely with local and cross domain FBPs to provide updates on regional initiatives and developments, provide support on local challenges and facilitate best practices among FBP community
In order to succeed in the role, you should ideally have:
- Bachelor Degree in financial/accounting areas (knowledge of Accounting is a plus)
- Comfortable working with large data sets and financial modeling (proficiency in SQL is a plus)
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in financial/business analyst working experience
- Exceptional analytical and numerical skills
- Proficiency in Excel is a must
- Interest in Ecommerce
- Bilingual speaking (English/Chinese)
