Manager, Ocean Commercial Centre

Seeking a highly organized individual to join our team as an Officer, Custom Declaration. In this role, he/she will play a crucial part indefining FCL Danmar rates for country connections in alignment with regional RRM teams and communicates to product management and Ocean Commercial Centre (OCC) in country.Responsibilities will include as follow:-

• Gauges market demand for Ocean Freight FCL services (performs competitor, customer and market research at country level)
• Initiates development of FCL products that meet market demand, by identifying opportunities and then communicating with country Ocean Freight heads, Sales and Regional Route Management
• Manages/develops FCL network connections of countries, i.e. initiates new services/campaigns with Sales, reviews allocation utilization and carrier operations performance/quality against network expectations
• Defines new local standard FCL service elements (e.g. new value added services possibilities, new direct trucking connection, etc.) in line with global guidelines and strategies
• Coordinates FCL training together with OCC and FCL business development.
• Undertakes and is responsible for all analysis and definition of local actions with regards to optimizing allocation forecasting and utilization, growth and profitability of FCL services connecting to the country in line with global and regional guidance
  
  

Basic requirements:

• Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain (or related discipline)
• Minimum 8 years working experience in Freight Forwarding industry with at least 3 years in managerial role in managing Ocean Freight Pricing.
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Solid analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
• Positive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills and strong time management.
• Strong communication skills (English), spoken and written.
