Job Purpose:
Responsible for assisting Senior Manager (Joint Venture) in the management and monitoring of UEMS investments; joint ventures or other strategic alliances to ensure returns are maximized, minimize depreciation and exposure to any risks are mitigated.
The Manager will also work with Business Development and other divisions on specific initiatives for selecting joint ventures/investments/divestments/assets.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of investee companies including value creation plans to maximise value and returns, reviewing periodic reporting, calls/meetings and managing relationships with partners/ external stakeholders.
- Responsible for the tracking and analysis of portfolio and each investment performance through historical data, financial modelling including valuation.
- Formulate specific initiatives for joint ventures where required and implement them until completion.
- Work with and manages relationship with other internal divisions and external parties eg tax, legal.
- Plan and manage the execution of new joint venture opportunities including executing entire process from screening, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, documentation and preparing board papers/memos for internal approvals.
- Plan and manage any acquisition or monetization/divestment of joint ventures or investments or assets.
- Manages performance of sub-team and ensures timely delivery of milestones and objectives/agendas.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Accounting, Finance, Corporate Finance, Business, Economics)
- Possesses Accounting / Finance qualifications e.g. ICAEW, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CFA.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant corporate finance or investment management roles, preferably in real estate/property development industry.
- Knowledge and experience in investment management, financial modelling and project management.
- Ability to think strategically and problem solve.
- Good presentation, influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated and strong work ethic.
