Purpose of Job
This role involves a blend of engineering expertise and insurance knowledge to assess risks, insurance placement, and claims support. The job encompasses a variety of responsibilities that can be broadly categorized into administrative, operational, customer service, and team management functions.
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess construction projects and risks associated with them.
- Collaborate with underwriters to determine appropriate coverage and terms & conditions.
- Provide technical guidance and support in the development of construction & engineering insurance products.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the construction & engineering industry.
- Address client inquiries and concerns regarding constructions & engineering insurance coverage.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.

- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to promote construction & engineering insurance products
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to engineering insurance operations.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning for the Construction & Engineering team.
Knowledge and Experience and Skill
- Minimum 6 years working experience in similar or related field, in sales, insurance broking, business development, construction, engineering, etc.
- Possess professional insurance qualification and relevant knowledge of the principles of Insurance, product knowledge and practices
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in actuarial science, civil engineering, engineering, business management or related disciplines
- Passion and drive, Capacity to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
