Job Purpose
To lead and develop funding/investment partnerships and strategies for the development and implementation of MDEC key funding programmes & services, as well as accelerating partnership and collaborations with local & foreign technology institutionalized funding organisations
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic planning, design and development of programmes to facilitate the participation of Venture Capital, Angels, Equity Crowd Funding and Institutional Investors for Internet Economy companies
- Develop Partnership programmes with Local & Foreign institutional investors, plans and strategies and resource requirements.
- Develop Channels Development Programme plans, strategies, resource requirements
Strategic Advisory and partnership development with Internet Economy companies, Foreign & Local Investment community, business partners and Government Agencies
- Attract & accelerate Foreign Investors via international engagements activities to generate awareness, leads and collaborative engagements for Internet Economy companies
- Promote Funding sources and provide advisory
- Build Global VC, Institutional Investors, Equity Crowd Funding networks to facilitate funding requirements for Internet Economy companies
- Build partnership platforms to facilitate collaborations between companies and Funding Ecosystem Players - VCs, Business & Funding Associations, Government Ministries & Funding Agencies, and relevant Regulators
Programme Management Oversight to ensure operational excellence
- Lead development of implementation plans, activities, task processes & procedures for external funding programmes as delegated by Dept Head.
- Oversee management, implementation and monitoring of delegated tasks by Dept Head
- Oversee operations and resource management of the unit and support the development of staff under the unit
Qualifications
- Minimal Related or Transferable Experience (5 -10 years)
- Degree in IT / Finance / Economy
