Position Objective:
To provide day to day support to all AIA business units using AIA's Azure public cloud platform including but not limited to incident-, change-, request- and problem management. This role focuses on leveraging DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as JSON, Ansible, YAML, and Terraform.
- Mentor other operations teams and their members focusing on Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of cloud services.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in cloud operations.
- Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure and operational procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends and recommend improvements to existing processes.
- Assist in the support of a multi-cloud environment (predominantly Azure, selective other clouds).
- Liaise with service providers to ensure that operational processes (backup, patching, provisioning, monitoring) are followed and incidents are managed effectively.
- Support Group Technical Risk to ensure compliance with all security requirements and standards.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud operations or a related field.
- Proven experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience in IaC tools like JSON, Ansible, YAML, and Terraform.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud infrastructure.
- Experience in coaching and leading operational activities is a plus
