Job Overview
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance and repair activities within an organization. They ensure that facilities (rooms) are in optimal working condition to support smooth and efficient operations.
Job Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure the reliability and longevity of room conditions and equipment (tools/ stock).
Team Leadership:
Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, facility executive & cleaners, assigning tasks, and ensuring work is completed effectively and efficiently.
Warehouse Management:
Conduct regular inspections/ stock count of all tools, materials and equipment to identify for upcoming orders and sufficiency of stock level.
Budget Management:
Manage the maintenance budget, including cost control, resource allocation, and procurement of necessary parts, materials, vendors, and manpower.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and best practices, promoting a safe working environment.
Record-Keeping:
Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, equipment history, and maintenance schedules.
Vendor Relations:
Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance work and negotiate contracts.
Training and Development:
Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Emergency Response:
Respond to and manage maintenance/ facilities emergencies promptly to minimize downtime and ensure minimal disruption to operations. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in learning and development and organizational effectiveness.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a similar industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of maintenance planning, preventive maintenance, and safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office suite.
Require occasional on-call availability for emergency maintenance issues.
