Purpose of the RoleTo carry out a wide range of general Collection & Delivery activities in and around the route of every location from suppliers or to the customer.
To follow the guidelines as per schedule assigned by the procurement supervisor or SCM Manager.
Able to accommodate self responsibilities to cater the needs of the department scope of work.
Be reliable for the duty and task being allocated and completion within the timeframe.
Be a part of the overall organisation team to support other departments requirements whenever needed.
Be able to drive an industrial Lorry with good manners.
Responsible for operating and taking care of the lorry system and safety.
Prepare and follow a cleaning & maintenance schedule for the vehicle.
Perform detailed evaluation of facilities and equipment of the lorry to ensure that they are in good condition for proper functioning.
Perform all duties that are necessary in resolving reactionary activities, and report the need for further maintenance and safety to Fleet supervisor.
Inspect equipment according (DAILY CHECKLIST) to the schedule and highlight if any may require repair or replacement of the lorry.
The Driver is responsible and reports to the Supervisor who will assign duties as appropriate.
Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you by the management from time to time either within or out of your category of employment must perform accordingly.
- Requirements & Person Specifications
Have a high school qualification or its equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of working experience in related fields.
As a driver 5 tones and above: 1 year (Preferred).
Have good knowledge of the JPJ and transportation law.
Have good knowledge of technical skills of the lorry to determine exact problems and tackle or report them accordingly.
English is beneficial.
Excellent ability to communicate system problems to both co-workers and management for proper understanding.
Exhibit good driving skills to handle any abnormal issue during driving to avoid causing injuries to self and others on the ground/road.
Willing to take responsibility and accountability for the lorry maintenance and safety.
To be proud of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
To identify and act on small problems before they become big problems.
