The Role:
Reporting to Group Manager Shipping & Operations, you will be responsible for taking the lead in handling full spectrum of shipping documents for the Japan market.
You will work in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment with frequent opportunities to interact with internal and external stakeholders, regionally.
Job Description:
- Handles full spectrum of shipping documents for Japan market.
- Liaise with Japanese suppliers, service providers, shipping lines and customers and work closely with Japanese employee.
- Generate Quotations, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Delivery orders, invoices, and Shipping Documents.
- Arrange Land Transport for overseas Market, Import and Export shipments and Stock Inventory.
- Follow-up with the agent and shipping lines for freight booking and flexibag vendors.
- Follow up the supplier on loading date, arrange samples to be send to designated Lab.
- Follow-up on containers schedule and co-ordinate until the product reaches designated destination.
- Monitor quality of product and suppliers
- Create commercial and regulatory documents.
- Support operational matters and analysis in customer service, logistics and supply chain.
- To monitor and report bi-weekly on inventory trade positions to management.
- Any other ad-hoc task as assigned by Trade Operations Supervisor or Logistics Operations Specialist.
Requirements:
- A recognized university degree with minimum 3 years of experience in commodity / with export & import documentation practices
- Familiar with international trade process, import and export documents and letter of credit operation process
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills & committed to accuracy at all levels of detail.
- Excellent verbal / written communication skills in Japanese Language (JLPT N2 or 3) & English to communicate with stakeholders is a MUST.
- This is a remote role to be based in Malaysia or Cebu. We are looking for someone who is able to commit 2 days per week.
