About the Company

Southern Cross Education Institute (SCEI) is a well-respected education provider in Australia, with campuses in both South Australia and Victoria. SCEI delivers programs in the health, community or early childhood sectors to both local and international students.

As a multinational organisation, SCEI owns offices in Cyberjaya, which houses members of the technical support and administrative teams. SCEI also has a sister company, Formee Holdings, which is based from the same office suites in Cyberjaya.

SCEI is looking for an LMS Support Officer to be based in-office at the Cyberjaya location.
  • The Opportunity

SCEI is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic LMS Support Officer with objective to provide systemlevel support of multi-user operations systems, hardware and software tools, including configuration, maintenance and support of Moodle.
  • Responsibilities
Provide daily support to staff in relation to their experience in the Moodle LMS system and integrated software
  • Assist staff to prepare modules for online learning / delivery
Develop Moodle / LMS user manuals to train users on new or existing technologies
  • Work closely with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that the highest quality of technical support and consultancy is delivered
Full ownership and responsibility of all allocated support tickets ensuring they are dealt with promptly, professionally and satisfactorily concluded
  • Document relevant technical information including system problems, problem resolution and knowledge-based content
Maintain confidentiality with regards to the information being processed, stored or accessed
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
Address technical bugs and other system issues from identification through to resolution
  • Support team members who have software-related questions or issues in Moodle
Ensure security throughout all access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Set-up accounts and workstations
Other IT-related ad hoc duties as required
  • Qualifications & Experience
Diploma/Associate/Degree in IT or a related field with relevant background
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience working with Moodle LMS
Appropriate level of competency required when documenting technical information
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and decision making skills
Fluent in English (Speaking & Writing)
  • Skill / traits required
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Highly accountable for meeting all commitments and deadlines
Effective English language communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Clear and concise written reporting.
Attention to detail.
  • Time management.
