Your Mission
- Draft, review, negotiate and advise on contracts/legal documentations for transactions and operational matters of SD Guthrie group of companies, in particular, downstream operation
- Interpret, analyse, identify, apply and resolve issues arising under the law and regulatory requirements
- Providing updates on laws/regulatory matters that affect SD Guthrie Berhad group of companies, both local and overseas.
- Responsible for providing guidance and legal advice to internal stakeholders of SD Guthrie Berhad group of companies, both local and overseas, as and when the need arises.
- Liaising and coordinating with external solicitors on all matters involving SD Guthrie Berhad group of companies, both local and overseas, as and when required.
- Build and maintain a good business relationship with all the various internal and external stakeholders to safeguard the interest of SD Guthrie group of companies
- Coach and motivate legal team to ensure high performance and delivery
- To perform and carry out any other responsibilities as and when required by the superior on legal matters involving SD Guthrie Berhad group of companies, both local and overseas.
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Law (LLB), Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP)
- At least 10 years as an practicing lawyer and/or in-house legal counsel in a listed company/multi-national corporation
- Experience in plantation industry andfinancing transactions will be an added advantage
