Your Key Responsibilities:
Adopt a pro-active, business focused approach by:
Serving as single point of contact for all Legal & Compliance tasks in the territory for commercial and non-commercial sites, incl. coordinating data privacy, antitrust, etc. topics with Global Leads and Teams
Providing Legal & Compliance advice and resolving appropriate actions/ processes in line with local strategy, local legal trends, legislation changes (marketing, tender, sales, launches, customer-facing activities, regulatory)
Handling matters and litigation (Legislative matters, antibribery, unfair competition and anti-trust, P&O, liabilities, etc.)
Negotiating, drafting and management of commercial agreements (focusing on sell side)
Leading local Corporate topics in alignment with global team
Legal & Compliance reporting, compliance governance for the territory, monitoring & training, incl. compliance awareness training, transparency reporting, dawn-raid training
Support of P3, CoI (Conflicts of Interest), RAM, ERM, audits, TPRM, contract management, etc. in association with Global responsible Teams
As a member of the Country Leadership Team, pro-actively contribute to strategy and business discussions, decisions, and outcomes.
Consistently explore opportunities to improve and strengthen the culture of compliance, looking for ways of addressing risks in an efficient and agile manner.
Support investigations conducted by relevant Authorities, Corporate Security and Speak-Up on legal and compliance issues.
Build a highly skilled legal and compliance function. Support knowledge sharing beyond the country and cluster.
Build and review country/territory outside counsel panels, manage outside counsel to budget.
What youll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
Law school graduate & bar qualification
Minimum 7 years post qualification experience required: ideally gained within a healthcare / pharmaceutical environment, and/or, with a credible law firm representing healthcare & technology clients.
Experience in managing Legal & Compliance work and projects
Ability to analyse complex legal and compliance issues.
Strong verbal & written communication skills; together with a high ability to influence and negotiate.
Proven ability to deal positively when working within tight time pressures & demanding clients.
Financial/business acumen and business partnering skills
Demonstrate professional & culturally sensitive work ethics
Change agility and resilience
