Job Description

Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Lecturer in Culinary Arts to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Culinary Arts and possess extensive experience in the culinary field. The Lecturer will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to students, preparing them for successful careers in the culinary industry.
  • Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Instruction:
  • Develop and deliver engaging lectures, practical sessions, and workshops in culinary arts.
Prepare course materials, syllabi, and lesson plans that meet academic standards and industry requirements.
  • Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and practical evaluations.
Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Curriculum Development:
Collaborate with colleagues to design and update the culinary arts curriculum to ensure it remains current and relevant.
  • Integrate new culinary trends, techniques, and technologies into the curriculum.
Mentorship and Advising:
  • Serve as an academic advisor to students, offering guidance on coursework, career paths, and professional development.
Mentor students in culinary competitions, internships, and research projects.
Research and Professional Development: Engage in scholarly research and contribute to the field of culinary arts through publications, presentations, and conferences.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, innovations, and best practices.
Community and Industry Engagement:
  • Build and maintain relationships with culinary professionals, alumni, and industry partners.
Organize and participate in culinary events, workshops, and community outreach programs.
  • Administrative Duties:
Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and accreditation processes.
  • Assist with student recruitment, retention, and program promotion.
  • Qualifications:
Bachelors and Masters degree in Culinary Arts or a closely related field.
  • Significant professional experience in the culinary industry.
Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and academic excellence.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,
  • 00 - RM2,500.00 per month
