The Plant Construction Manager will oversee and directing construction projects from conception to completion, reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs, overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
Master or Degree or equivalent qualifications in related fields.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in plant construction/construction or handling similar projects
Manage and oversee the day-to-day construction management of the project
- To address issue relating to pre-construction planning type of contract, job details, contracts document.
To ensure proper delegation of each area of pre-construction is properly and timely executed, e.g. Bonds, Insurance, CIDB notification for all projects.- To oversee overall planning such as setting up site office, temporary supply, and machinery requirement, procurement schedule, award schedule, negotiation of quotation.
To ensure the timely completion of projects within budget and quality of all projects.
- Ensures all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented.
To carry out overall projects management, coordination, and liaison with client, consultant, architect, subcontractor and supplier. To guide, address and resolve issues and challenges face by Project Managers.- To conduct meetings if necessary such as project kick-off meeting, site progress review meeting, subcontractor/ suppliers meeting, site safety committee meeting etc.
To review profit / loss of projects and to include analysis and corrective actions.
- To ensure prompt submission, certifications and collection of claims for all projects in the company.
To ensure Project Managers implement proper contractual management for all projects.- To ensure the submission and finalization of measurements, Variation Order and Final Accounts.
To implement all policies, activities, procedures, instruction as relevant and required by the quality system.
- Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance.
Provide recommendations and institute measures for improvement by modification to operating procedures/work instructions.- Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks through out the Company.
Any other ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the management.
