Job Overview: The Loan Operation Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the loan processing and servicing functions within a financial institution. This role involves ensuring efficient loan operations, compliance with regulations, and providing strategic leadership to optimize processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads and manages a team responsible for loan processing and servicing, overseeing end-to-end loan processing operations including application review, approval and disbursement ensuring accuracy and completeness of loan documentation.
- Collaborates with customer service teams to address customer inquiries and issues related to loan operations.
- Works with IT teams to ensure the reliability and security of loan processing systems.
- Works closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure compliance with lending regulations and internal policies, Implements and monitors risk management practices related to loan operations.
- Works with partners in settlement and reconciliation, manages relationships with third-party vendors providing loan-related services, collaborates in the selection and evaluation of external partners.
- Develops and implements strategies to improve the efficiency of loan processing, contributes to the development of long-term plans for the loan operations function.
- Generates and analyses reports related to loan operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- More than 5 years of experience in loan operations, excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of loan processing systems, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of risk management and compliance in the financial industry.
- Familiarity with emerging trends and technologies in the lending sector.
