About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Networking Support Engineer to join our Team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in network security to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex issues for our customers. As a subject matter expert, you will provide guidance on security products, deliver exceptional support, and proactively contribute to our knowledge base to enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Diagnose, replicate, and resolve customer issues related to network security technologies, ensuring fast and effective solutions.
- Provide Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in security products and best practices. Recommend and communicate solutions clearly to customers and internal teams.
- Collaborate with Customers: Communicate effectively with IT professionals, guiding them through complex technical challenges and providing tailored solutions.
- Document & Track Issues: Maintain comprehensive records of customer-reported issues, resolutions, and system statuses in our problem tracking system.
- Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to our knowledge base by documenting customer issues, resolutions, and use cases. Participate in technical reviews and assist with new product launches.
- Customer Experience Focus: Deliver exceptional service by proactively identifying and solving problems, ensuring customer satisfaction and positive outcomes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other internal teams, such as product management, development, and support, to ensure timely issue resolution.
Required Qualifications:
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience providing enterprise-level support in network security, particularly in the SSL VPN, Firewall, AMP, and AAA domains.
- Proven experience with Cisco Secure Firewall Firepower 7.0 and network security technologies.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, VLANs, and protocols including HTTP/2, DNS, SNMP, and FTP.
- Experience with AAA protocols (Active Directory, LDAP, Radius).
- Proficiency in TLS/SSL, HTTP/HTTPS, SAML/SSO, IPSec, and PKI.
- Virtualization & Cloud Experience:
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere, MS Hyper-V, KVM, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Additional Knowledge:
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
- Understanding of Load Balancers and WAN Optimization is a plus.
- Basic project management skills are beneficial.
- Tools Familiarity:
- Experience with JIRA and Salesforce CRM is desirable.
