The knowledge architect is accountable to bring together (1) the users of knowledge, (2) the knowledge itself & (3) the business/organization to achieve benefits through knowledge management.
- Gather knowledge requirements from SME & users including conducting research to identify & gather relevant knowledge from both internal & external sources
- Construct information model & instantiate business rules onto the model
- Develop taxonomies, policies & procedures for knowledge management including guidelines for knowledge creation, retention & sharing
- Develop metadata schema & standards for content assembly
- Design & implement strategies that support organisational objectives & enhance knowledge flow across organisational units
- Contribute to development of style guide for content delivery
- Contribute to creating an authoring environment that would leverage on the standards & style guide content
- Facilitate knowledge exchange among employees, teams & organisations units
- Implementing tools & platforms for sharing best practices & expertise that best suit the organisations needs
- Promote knowledge sharing culture by demonstrating the value of knowledge management & encouraging participation to the relevant processes
- Ensure that knowledge management practices comply with data protection & privacy regulations
- Experience required
- Experienced in implementing knowledge management frameworks covering but not limited to people, process, technology, content, policies, etc
- Familiar with
a. technology operations process from prevention, monitoring to recovery
b. agile & waterfall deliveries for application & infrastructure
c. business to IT processes related to knowledge management
- Experienced in measuring effectiveness & efficiencies of knowledge & continuously improve to increase these measurements
- Work landscape:
- Building, maintaining & improve knowledge management especially in group technology landscape
- Knowledge management may also be extended to overall group level
- Requirements
- Degree in related computer science principles
- 5 years in library services, information management, content curation or a related role
- 5 years experience in knowledge management
a. Familiar with knowledge management tools, content management systems & databases
b. Ability to categorise, tag & structure information effectively
- Critical thinking & able to resolve problems creatively
- Proficient in using Jira & Confluence
- Strong interpersonal & collaborative skills as well as highly effective communication skills
- Organised, detail oriented & thorough
- Strong desire to help improve processes & mentor others
- Knowledge / certification in ITIL is advantageous
