Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our digital marketing company. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our client base. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify new opportunities, build strong client relationships, and ensure the company's continued success.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
  2. Identify and target potential clients in Malaysia and the surrounding regions, including both large enterprises and small-medium businesses.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their digital marketing needs, and providing tailored solutions.
  4. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to generate leads, nurture prospects, and close deals.
  5. Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
  6. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to clients, highlighting the company's services and capabilities.
  7. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial and long-term partnerships.
  8. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to achieve targets.
  9. Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, platforms, and technologies, providing insights and recommendations to internal teams.
  10. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and foster new relationships.

  • Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in business development or sales roles within the digital marketing industry, preferably in Malaysia or the Southeast Asia region.
  3. Strong understanding of digital marketing strategy, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, content marketing, and analytics. Familiarity with Chinese digital marketing platforms (e.g., Xiaohongshu, WeChat, Weibo and Douyin) is desirable.
  4. Strong network of contacts and existing relationships with key decision-makers in the local business. Community.
  5. Track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market.
  6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and influence clients effectively.
  7. Strategic mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities and develop innovative business strategies.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven business decisions.
  9. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Fluency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken). Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
