Mission / Purpose of the Position
As a Key Account Manager (KAM), you'll play a crucial role in fostering and developing long-term strategic partnerships with key accounts to drive customer satisfaction and business growth. This role is ideal for a motivated, hands-on individual who can proactively meet client expectations, address challenges, and deliver customized solutions. Your primary objectives will be sales growth and increased market share, achieved by identifying new opportunities and upselling within existing accounts. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams to enhance customer experience and deliver innovative solutions.
Main Responsibilities
Relationship Management & Client Development
- Develop an in-depth understanding of clients business needs, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Analyze client usage patterns and proactively identify opportunities to expand and enhance the account.
- Establish and maintain strong, multi-level relationships across the client organization, identifying and engaging key stakeholders.
Strategic Collaboration & Solution Development
- Work closely with internal product teams to identify and build innovative solutions within the current solution portfolio.
- Provide strategic feedback to support the enhancement of existing products and the development of new solutions.
- Formulate and maintain Account Plans covering key elements such as account strategy, business outlook, relationship planning, and action items.
- Conduct monthly financial reporting on business outlook and performance.
Customer Support Coordination
- Manage and coordinate activities with post-sale support teams to resolve any outstanding customer issues promptly, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
Education & Qualifications
- Proven experience (5-8 years) as a Relationship Manager or in B2B account management for a highly commercial environment, with a strong record of account development and network building.
- Background in banking or fintech is preferred, with an understanding of the financial services landscape.
- Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior business leaders.
- Proven sales track record, ideally in solution selling, with strong commercial awareness.
- Ability to explain complex information in simple terms.
- Strong mathematical and computer skills.
- Self-driven with plenty of initiative, motivation, and an independent, results-oriented mindset.
- Analytical and research skills to identify and act on new opportunities.
