Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate IT Support Engineer with an experience in providing technical support, hardware troubleshooting, and system administration. You will be responsible for offering customer support, resolving technical issues via various channels, and managing both on-site and remote support tasks. Your role will involve configuring and maintaining network and server systems, assisting with website and email hosting, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure.
  • Responsibilities:

To provide customer support in terms of shared/network printers connectivity, software installation, training & troubleshooting of software/system related issues and ensure that good customer relation and satisfaction is maintained as required by the superiors/management.

To provide phone call/helpdesk/remote desktop support to customers on technical issues.

To provide on-site hardware support and troubleshooting of the customers equipments.

To provide assistance on website & e-mail hosting administration, hosting software installation and updates.
  • Requirements:

Fluent in English.

Pleasant, respectful behaviour when dealing with customers.

Possess own transport.

Experienced with assembling desktop PCs, and troubleshooting PC hardware issues.

Experienced with Windows OS and able to perform recovery steps for software issues including malware infections in enterprise environments.

Experience in Apple Macs is added advantage

Able to guide clients through the phone/remote desktop to resolve simple issues.

Able to configure DSL modems & WiFi routers for Internet connectivity in home networks and small office network environments.

Able to troubleshoot network connectivity issues and misconfiguration faults.

Have understanding on Internet gateway firewalls capabilities and port forwarding.

Knowledge in Microsoft Windows Servers installation and configuration of its related services. (IIS, FTP, MSSQL, DNS, DHCP, Remote Desktop, CAL licenses, Active Directory)

Knowledge in basic MS Windows Active Directory domain administration. (joining PCs, deleting PCs, creating users)

Familiar with Linux server installation, configuration of his its related services (Samba, BIND, dhcpd, iptables, Exim) and its maintenance. (Ubuntu is preferred, but other Linux distributions are acceptable)

Knowledge in Virtualization (VMWare, Linux KVM/Qemu) and docker containers would be advantageous.
