JOB DESCRIPTION:As a IT Services, you will serve as a vital resource in maintaining the company's information technology systems and providing technical assistance to employees. This multifaceted role encompasses user support, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring the overall functionality of IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues and ensuring a seamless IT environment.
User Support:
- Provide prompt and efficient level 1 technical support to end-users through diverse channels, including in-person interactions, phone calls, email correspondence, and remote assistance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, printers, and other peripherals.
Software and Hardware Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and update software applications, ensuring compatibility and security.
Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.- Perform routine hardware maintenance, including upgrading, replacing, and troubleshooting hardware components as needed.
System Monitoring:
- Monitor the health and performance of network infrastructure and server systems.
Identify, address, and document IT incidents and outages to minimize downtime.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of IT support requests, solutions, and system configurations.
Develop and update documentation for troubleshooting procedures and IT resources.
Security:
- Assist in enforcing IT security policies and best practices to safeguard data and systems.
Educate end-users on IT security awareness and protocols.
Training and Education:
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on the effective use of software and hardware.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to provide informed support.
Hardware and Software Procurement:
- Participate in the procurement process for IT equipment, ensuring compatibility and cost-effectiveness.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and associated documentation.
Technical Projects:
- Collaborate with the IT team on projects related to system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
- A diploma or degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in IT and technical support or a related role.- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS), software applications, and hardware components.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist end-users.
