Job Overview:As an IT Research and Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving technological advancements within our organization. Conduct extensive research on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to IT infrastructure, software development, and cloud computing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for innovation and develop strategic plans to address them.
Design and prototype new software applications, systems, and tools using agile development methodologies.- Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and platforms that align with the company's objectives and technical requirements.
Lead the implementation and deployment of new solutions, ensuring they meet quality standards and deliver tangible business value.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, helping to overcome technical challenges and optimize performance.
Stay abreast of advancements in the field of IT research and development, attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions as needed.- Contribute to the company's intellectual property portfolio through the creation of patents, white papers, and technical publications.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.- Three (3) years of experience in IT research and development, with a focus on Linux, database management, and cloud computing.
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line utilities, including shell scripting and system administration.
- Proficiency in database design, implementation, and optimization, with experience using SQL and NoSQL databases.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure as code (IaC) and containerization technologies.- Excellent problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to think critically and analytically.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of innovation and a passion for exploring new ideas and technologies.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
