DATA ANALYST / ENGINEER Intern
Job Description
Scope of Work:
As an Azure Data Solutions Consultant, we are looking for an intern who is proficient in Python, SQL, and Power BI to assist with data engineering tasks, including data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), data modelling, and more. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with cloud-based data solutions and contributing to real-world projects.
Job Responsibilities
Data ETL:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using Python and SQL.
- Extract data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and files.
- Clean, transform, and integrate data into target systems.
- Automate ETL processes for efficiency and reliability.
Data Modeling
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
- Design and develop dimensional or relational data models.
- Optimize data models for performance and scalability.
- Document data models and maintain data dictionaries.
Azure Data Services
- Learn and utilize Azure data services, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Explore and implement Azure cloud-based data storage and processing solutions.
Data Visualization
- Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Develop custom visualizations and reports to meet specific business needs.
- Assist in data storytelling and presenting insights to stakeholders.
Other Tasks
- Conduct data quality analysis and implement data validation processes.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering tools and technologies.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Actuarial Science or a related field.
- Previous experience as a SharePoint Developer or Software Developer is a bonus.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Power BI is required.
- Able to communicate fluently in Bahasa Melayu and English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified)
Working Arrangements
- Fully in-office with flexibility to work from home in a case-to-case basis.
- Company devices such as laptops are provided.
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm working shift
- Located at Port Tech Tower, Bandar Baru Klang.
