Job Description

Position Summary

The IT Business Analyst (Supply Chain) serves as the bridge between the customer and the solution development team and vendor. This role is also responsible for supporting the delivery of the necessary technology services to the business by analyzing and refining requirements. At the same time, IT Business Analyst is also responsible for the day-to-day Level 1 and Level 2 support of the application and functional area of assignment.

Working Location: Vinda SEA HQ (Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang, next to Setia Alam)

You will play an essential role to:

1) Day-to-Day Functional / Application Support

  • Act as the Level 1 & Level 2 Application Support for applications such as Demand & Supply Planning, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transport Management System (TMS).
  • Support in building knowledge base with Level 1: Servicedesk.
  • Provide training to end users and Level 1: Servicedesk.
  • Involve in analyzing problems escalated from Level 1 and finding solution to the problem.
  • Involve in working and communicating to Vendor whenever a problem could not be resolved locally.
  • Support local application development and support across the product supply and commercial processes.
  • Support business in building Business Continuity Plan.
  • Support business Day to Day operation that related to the IT solutions implemented. End to end Supply Chain processes covering the stream from order processing, order fulfilment and logistics and all the way to billing management.

2) Project Based / Change Management

  • Facilitate and support workshops or key meetings to capture business requirements and perform as-is analysis, understanding customer and user requirements, their strategies, and their goals.
  • Support development of business cases and support the portfolio prioritization process.
  • Review and edit requirements, specifications and recommendations related to a proposed solution.
  • Participate in transitioning the requirements and use cases to the designers and vendors to ensure a clear and complete understanding of the solution specification.
  • Support for implementation of to-be processes, including training delivery.
  • Contribute to finding and implementing effective solutions in a matrix organization.
  • To review application support incidents and to identify/analyze root causes and be able to provide recommendation/solutioning for continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any relevant discipline
  • At least 1-3 years working experience in FMCG / IT consultant industry
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Experience in application or process tools especially in Sales Force Automation, Supply & Demand Supply Planning, Production, Warehousing and Inventory Management or Purchasing & Procurement is preferred
  • Experience in Oracle EBS, WMS, MES, Planning tools and AS/RS technologies will be an added advantage
  • Experience in Relational Database Management (i.e. Oracle SQL, PL/SQL Server, MySQL) will be an added advantage
  • Proficiency in English & Bahasa Malaysia in both written and oral, an additional language (eg: Mandarin) will be a plus
