Remote Operations Supervisor This is an exciting opportunity, available due to internal career development and progression, to lead our Remote Operations Center (ROC) and team based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Reporting into the Director of Maintenance & Process Engineering, the Remote Operations Supervisor plays a crucial leadership role, overseeing a team of engineers responsible for the remote monitoring and operation of our plants through our cutting-edge process control system. The Remote Operations Supervisor will also support technology and other continuous improvement initiatives to enable scalable plant automation in Asia Pacific.
- Key focus areas the role will include
Providing leadership and guidance to a team of Remote Operations Engineers to ensure safe and continuous operations, product quality, and environmental compliance.- Collaborating with plant-based employees and Remote Operations Engineers across different ROCs to optimize operational processes and drive continuous improvement and the scaling up of the automation program.
Overseeing the monitoring and control of plant production equipment, making necessary recommendations to meet operational and quality requirements.
- Maintaining shift operation records, facilitating information exchange between ROCs and communicating effectively with all personnel.
Monitoring and analyzing various process trends, applying knowledge to drive process efficiencies, and actively contributing to special projects aimed at improving the remote operations program.- Assisting in the defining and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for operating plant and processes remotely.
- Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications:
Engineering degree or transferable technical certification and experience demonstrating an advanced process control skill set.- Industrial experience within a manufacturing/processing environment, with a focus on Process Control Systems and/or industrial automation.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft programs. Background in Electrical, PLC programming, instrumentation, automation, and HMI controls is a strong asset.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
