We are looking for a dynamic Inventory & Store Manager to ensure efficient and strategic inventory management for our manufacturing operations. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional to oversee inventory movement, store operations, compliance, and human capital development. Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Planning and Strategy
- Define storage locations, critical materials, reorder levels, and minimum order quantities to ensure optimal material availability.
- Develop strategies such as vendor-managed inventory (VMI) and stock level management based on criticality, lead times, and preventive maintenance needs.
- Continuously review and optimize planning for consumables, spare parts, chemicals, and equipment to prevent production disruptions.
Inventory Movement and Control
- Oversee all incoming materials (except packaging and chemicals), ensuring receipt, quantity verification, and quality approvals.
- Track inventory movements diligently, managing transfers between the main store and mini-stores.
- Implement robust stock control practices, including tracking repairs and managing loaned inventory between business entities.
Store Operations
- Implement effective store management practices, including First In, First Out (FIFO) and First Expiry, First Out (FEFO) for perishable items.
- Ensure sufficient workforce to support store operations, raise purchase requisitions, and perform regular stock counts.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage for easy access and ensure proper handling and safety.
Inventory Analysis
- Analyze inventory movement and consumption trends to adjust strategies, reorder levels, and mitigate wastage.
- Work with production and maintenance teams to address obsolescence, theft, and inventory losses.
Compliance and Reconciliation
- Ensure regulatory compliance in storing materials, adhering to safety and regulatory standards (HALAL, HACCP, GMP).
- Participate in internal and external audits, addressing any non-conformities with appropriate action plans.
Human Capital Development
- Train, coach, and mentor employees to ensure competence in inventory management tasks.
- Manage team members and ensure compliance with company policies and social compliance regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing / Mechatronics / Supply Chain Management.
- 3-5 years of experience in inventory planning and management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficiency in inventory management systems and processes.
