Summary:
As a Warehouse Assistant specializing in Chemical, Machine, and Parts Inventory, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of these inventory categories within our organization. Your responsibilities will include receiving, organizing, storing, and distributing chemicals, machinery, and parts while maintaining safety standards and adhering to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines as part of your day-to-day tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming chemical materials, machinery, and parts shipments.
- Organize and maintain an orderly inventory system for chemicals, machinery, and parts.
- Regularly perform cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
- Replenish inventory as needed and update records accordingly.
- EHS Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines and protocols in daily warehouse operations.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents related to chemicals or machinery promptly and assist in corrective actions.
- Participate in EHS training and actively contribute to maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Safe Handling of Chemicals:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines for handling, storing, and transporting chemicals.
- Ensure the proper labeling, segregation, and storage of chemical materials.
- Machinery and Parts Management:
- Receive, label, and store machinery and parts in designated areas.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure machinery and parts are in good condition.
- Coordinate with maintenance or repair teams for any necessary machinery or parts replacements.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Assist in picking, packing, and preparing outgoing orders for chemicals, machinery, and parts.
- Ensure accurate and on-time delivery of inventory to the relevant departments.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including quantities, location, and movement of chemicals, machinery, and parts.
- Generate reports as needed for inventory levels, usage, and restocking requirements.
- Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operation:
Utilize your experience and skills to safely operate Material Handling Equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) as needed within the warehouse.
Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any issues with MHE to the maintenance department.
Ensure MHE is properly charged and ready for use at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse or inventory management, especially in chemical, machine, and parts inventory.
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling and storage practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining digital inventory records.
- EHS training or certification is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in MHE such forklift and pallet jack
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with exposure to chemicals and machinery.
