The Position
About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and diligent
Vendor Master Data Intern to join our team. In this role, you will support the management and maintenance of vendor data within SAP and the MDGS platform. You will be able to work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in data management, process optimization, and compliance activities. Your main focus will be on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of vendor data, including bank details and other relevant master data, while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
The Opportunity:
As a Vendor Master Data Intern, you will assist with various tasks related to data entry, validation, and reporting. You will also have the chance to collaborate with multi-functional teams, gain exposure to the internal controls and audit processes, and develop your skills in SAP and master data management.
- Data Management Support: Assist with reviewing supplier setup forms, entering new vendor data, and updating existing vendor information in SAP according to the Vendor Master Data SOP
- Data Entry and Verification: Enter vendor and bank details into the MDGS platform based on user requests, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with ICFR requirements
- Process Assistance: Help verify and approve data changes, ensuring all records are accurate before final submission
- Process Improvement: Assist in identifying areas for improvement and support data analysis to optimize vendor master data management processes
- Stakeholder Interaction: Provide basic support to internal business partners, helping to guide them through the Vendor Master Data processes
- Compliance Support: Assist with audits by ensuring that vendor data meets internal control standards and helps to address any audit queries
- Training and Documentation: Support the team in crafting and maintaining documentation, and assist with the training of new users on master data processes
- Cross-Functional Exposure: Gain experience in job rotation, working across different teams within the EMDM (Enterprise Master Data Management) function as needed
Who You Are:
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration, IT, or a related field, and have a curiosity about data management, SAP, or business operations
- You have strong attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly and work independently on assigned tasks
- You possess excellent communication skills and are eager to collaborate with business teams to ensure smooth data management processes
- You are comfortable working with data systems and have a basic understanding of how ERP systems like SAP work (training will be provided)
- You have a proactive, problem-solving mindset and are eager to contribute to process improvements and team success
- You are proficient in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Any prior exposure to data entry or database management is a plus
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus, but not required
- Strong curiosity about pursuing a career in data management, business operations, or IT
