Operations Management
- Manage SSC Finance operations for APAC, aligning targets with CFOs, Head of Finance & IT AP SSC, and local Finance teams.
- Provide guidance to SSC Finance team members to ensure compliance with all group, regional, and local accounting-related guidelines and procedures.
Strategic Development
- Drive the strategic development of AP SSC Finance by planning resources, conducting process studies, and overseeing the implementation of migration projects for Asia Pac countries.
- Set up necessary IT enablements such as ICR invoice reader, Tradeshift, Service Now, etc.
Reconciliation and Guideline Compliance
- Lead reconciliation efforts with guideline owners, Head of AP Finance & IT SSC, and SSC Finance team members for guideline interpretation or adoption.
- Continuously improve workflow to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of SSC Finance processes.
Financial Operations
- Perform monthly General Ledger bookings and other month-end closing activities to prepare financial statements.
- Review payment runs for A/P invoices processed by SSC Finance to ensure timely approval and payment.
- Issue intercompany invoices promptly and supervise month-end intercompany reconciliation.
- Ensure internal management reports are prepared within deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with credit management procedures and timely receipt of customer payments.
- Ensure timely and compliant payments to employees and suppliers.
- Monitor cash flow and credit facility utilization.
Audit and Taxation
- Coordinate statutory audit procedures for year-end closing.
- Assist in coordination for internal audits.
- Collaborate with tax agents for corporate tax computations, returns, payments, and other tax matters.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including corporate tax, custom duties, withholding tax, import licenses, etc.
- Maintain well-setup and documented tax-related processes.
- Assist in local tax audits and other tax-related matters such as transfer pricing.
People Management
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop SSC Finance team members for Asia Pac, ensuring motivation, training, and effective discharge of duties.
- Facilitate mid-term development and career paths for team members.
- Demonstrate strong people management skills, capable of managing large teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, ideally in an SSC environment.
- Proficiency in Windows & Microsoft applications and SAP.
