Role:
The HR professional will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources within the restaurant, ensuring that staff are well-supported, and helping to create a positive work environment that promotes productivity and employee satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Conduct interviews, assess candidates, and make hiring recommendations.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are properly integrated into the team.
2. Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
- Address employee grievances and mediate workplace disputes.
- Organize team-building activities and events to enhance employee morale.
3. Performance Management:
- Implement performance appraisal systems and conduct regular employee evaluations.
- Provide coaching and support to employees to help them achieve their career goals.
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.
4. Compliance and Policies:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data privacy.
5. Compensation and Benefits:
- Administer payroll and manage employee benefits programs.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and ensure competitive compensation packages.
- Manage leave requests and attendance records.
6. Health and Safety:
- Ensure a safe working environment by implementing health and safety policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
7. Administrative Tasks:
- Manage HR-related documentation and correspondence.
- Prepare HR reports and provide insights to management.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost control related to HR activities.
Requirements:
1. Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR manager or similar role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
2. Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
