Key Responsibilities:
a) Employee Relations:
- Develop and implement employee communication strategies to foster a positive work environment and improve employee engagement.
- Manage the disciplinary process, ensuring all actions are compliant with Malaysian employment laws and company policies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, facilitating resolution through structured processes.
b) Migrant Worker Management:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of migrant worker employment, including permit renewals, compliance with immigration laws, and repatriation.
- Work closely with migrant wardens to ensure the welfare and legal compliance of all migrant workers.
- Provide orientation and continuous support to migrant workers to ease their integration into the workforce.
c) Site Security Management:
- Collaborate with site security supervisors to ensure the safety and security of all employees and company assets.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Develop and implement site security protocols in line with industry best practices.
d) Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management:
- Collaborate with the site safety committee to monitor and implement workplace safety programs.
- Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations, focusing on employee safety, hazard prevention, and emergency preparedness.
- Conduct regular safety audits and coordinate training programs to enhance employee awareness and compliance with safety standards.
e) Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all employee relations, security, and HSE activities.
- Prepare and present reports on disciplinary actions, migrant worker status, site security incidents, and HSE compliance to senior management.
f) Training and Development:
- Organize and conduct training sessions on company policies, safety procedures, and employee relations best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to line managers and supervisors in handling employee relations matters and enforcing disciplinary measures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an HR role, preferably within a food manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws, especially concerning migrant worker regulations and HSE standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
- Proven experience in disciplinary management and conflict resolution.
- Familiarity with site security protocols and safety regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities effectively
