Job Summary: The Human Resource Operations and Talent Management Specialist at City University Malaysia is responsible for managing HR operations and driving talent management initiatives. This role involves overseeing day-to-day HR activities, ensuring efficient HR service delivery, and implementing talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies. The Specialist will work closely with various departments to support the universitys goals through effective human resource practices.
- HR Operations Management:
Oversee daily HR operations, including employee records management, HR systems, and compliance with university policies and labor laws.- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, benefits administration, and other HR-related transactions.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting and candidate sourcing to interviewing and hiring.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
Conduct onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Identify training and development needs through performance appraisals, employee feedback, and organizational goals.- Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills, competencies, and career development.
Coordinate with external training providers and manage training budgets.
Support the implementation of performance management systems, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback processes.
- Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on performance management practices.
Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Employee Engagement and Retention:
Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.- Conduct employee surveys and feedback sessions to gauge satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
Implement retention strategies to reduce turnover and enhance employee loyalty.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws and university policies in all HR practices.
- Manage HR-related risks and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.
Handle employee relations issues, including grievances and disciplinary actions, in accordance with legal requirements.
- HR Projects and Initiatives:
Lead or participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and systems.- Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to bring innovative ideas to the university.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives.
