Basic Function:The Housekeeping Assistant is responsible to clean guest rooms and any public areas according to the property's standards. To keep employee uniforms and House linen in good condition. To keep close watch on stock of house and F&B linen. Keep records up to date, receiving etc.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enters and prepares room for cleaning.
- Dusts the room and furniture.
- Replenishes guest room and bath supplies
- Vacuums and rakes the carpet.
- Checks and secures the room.
- Record or report lost & found items according to the hotel policy.
- Cleans public areas according to hotel policy.
- Maintains and stocks housekeeping carts.
- PUBLIC AREA
- Cleans and maintains all public areas
- Sweeps carpets. Empties ashtrays and urns.
- Polishes furniture and fixtures.
- Vacuums and polishes elevators.
- Keeps the front of the hotel free from trash.
- LINEN
- To report for duty punctually in full regulation uniform.
- To provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
- To maintain good working relationships with your own colleagues, and all other department.
- Taking inventory of uniforms and house linen / F&B linen.
- Responsible for repairing, alterations and proper maintaining of Hotel uniforms.
- To co-ordinate with Laundry Department to ensure a proper flow of a ready supply of Hotel linen.
- Responsible for the proper storage of uniforms and linen.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the linen room.
- Spot checking the cleanliness of linen and uniforms that come back from the laundry.
- Responsible for keeping proper records of all linen and uniforms received from laundry and the issuing from the linen room to all outlet.
- Responsible for repair of House linen or sewing new articles according to the Laundry Manager.
