The Golden Triangle neighborhood, Kuala Lumpurs thriving business and financial district, will soon see the opening of the new Four Seasons Hotel and Residences. The Hotel is part of a 65-storey mixed-use tower that will include 242 Four Seasons Private Residences, 27 serviced apartments, a 209-key Four Seasons Hotel and a six- floor of 250,000 square foot luxury retail podium, collectively known as Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur.
The latest addition to the citys dramatic skyline and a vibrant hub for both business and leisure travelers, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur will be conveniently located in close proximity to the citys major attractions, including the Petronas Twin Towers and the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). Often referred to as a city within a city, the KLCC will offer designer shopping, fine dining, and the best of the citys electric nightlife. The Hotel will also overlook the KLCC Park and be directly connected to the esplanade, allowing guests to take full advantage of the Parks 50 acres of green space, including lush gardens, fountains, waterfalls, a wading pool, and jogging track.
An exciting addition to Kuala Lumpurs culinary scene, the Hotel will introduce several unique dining outlets to the city, including a Cantonese restaurant, lobby and rooftop pool bars, and an all-day dining restaurant with sweeping views of the Petronas Twin Towers.
The Hotel will also offer an executive lounge for business travelers, a serene spa, wellness-focused fitness centre and rooftop infinity pool offering panoramic views of Kuala Lumpurs endless skyline. HOSTESS CHINESE RESTAURANT
The Hostess is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. By nature of the position, the Hostess is the guests first impression of the restaurant. This Hostess greets guests promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, and a smile. Utilizing Open Table, the Hostess takes reservations, reviews the daily reservation book and has the ability to seat guests without reservations. The Hostess has a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients and what is unavailable for that day. A principle role within the restaurant, the Hostess is familiar with server stations, their daily assignments, their personal timing patterns and their maximum workload capacity. The Hostess is also familiar with frequent guests and knows their names and preferences.
We are looking for individuals with excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English is also required. The Hostess position requires continuous standing for up to 8 hours a day. The ideal candidate will have a confident outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request. The ability to remain calm under pressure is essential and applicants must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
Seat guests promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and according to guest preference.
Set up Hostess stand, review guest reservation book, and make recommendations as to the set-up of the room, maintain a station chart and cover count for the restaurant while recognizing the maximum workload capacity of each server in order to meet Four Seasons Service standards.
Answer telephones according to Four Seasons standards and take guest reservations or provide information regarding the restaurant or any other hotel service.
Anticipate the needs of guests, respond accordingly to guest inquiries or problems, and recognize regular guests by name and utilize the guests name consistently.
Inspect and maintain daily menus to ensure quality, condition and appearance while developing a complete working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Complete special projects (menu changes, signage, etc) as instructed.
Ensure proper table set-up and make minor adjustments as needed.
Candidates must speak read and write Bahasa Malaysia as well as being fluent in English. Must have the right to work in Malaysia.
