Overview

We're on the lookout for Head of Operations to be the driving force for our operational success to realize our vision to be the most admired F&B brand in Malaysia.

Provide leadership, coaching and strategic direction to a team of Area Managers and Restaurant Management Team in the region to achieve sales and profit targets through people management and improved store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate business strategy with others in the executive team. Ensuring financial targets and other agreed targets are set and are met by all Managers. Ensuring appropriate financial planning with control systems are in place and complied with.
  • Design policies that align with overall strategy, implementing company policies and procedures.
  • Implement efficient processes and standards. Reviewing operating processes and procedures to ascertain if they are successful and if not, devise alternatives through the brand or company system improvement process.
  • Coordinate customer service operations and find ways to ensure customer retention
  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws (e.g., AGABI)
  • Oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization
  • Manage contracts and relations with customers, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders
  • Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts. Develop and maintain research and development programs to ensure that the company remains at the forefront in the industry, applies the most cost-effective methods and approaches, provides a leading edge, unique service which ensures the company remains competitive
  • Oversee expenses and budgeting to help the organization optimize costs and benefits. Driving the business to increase profits.
  • Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement. Keeping employees motivated and organizing appropriate training and development in line with the company succession plan and training matrix
  • Report on operational performance and suggest improvements. Liaising with superior to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals. Meeting with customers and suppliers to ensure contracts are being fulfilled and renegotiated as necessary.
  • Planning and monitoring the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress in order to achieve company budget.
  • Supervising staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to the COO and CEO, to keep them aware of developments within the industry and to ensure that the appropriate policies and procedures are developed to meet the companys mission and objectives and to comply with all relevant statutory and other regulations.
  • Ensuring marketing activities support the securing of new business, the engagement of learners, raising brand awareness and driving public relations
  • Ensuring new business/sales activities secure additional funding and commercial finance in line with strategic aims.
  • Ensuring that the operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by management and all other employees Building and maintaining an effective Management team.

The Head of Operations will need to be A visionary A Leader, Target driven,

Tenacious, Loyal and Trustworthy, Decisive whilst collaborative (when necessary), An

excellent communicator. While delivering the plans, the Head of Operations must

demonstrate proactivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in terms of managing finance,

developing team members and services further to drive the growth of the business.

The primary function of this high-profile role is to develop and execute:

  1. Business plans
  2. HR Strategy, succession plan and training matrix
  3. Operational delivery profiles
  4. Sales plans for the long-term future of the organisation
  5. Compliance strategies covering Curriculum, Quality Assurance and Health and Safety
  6. Marketing strategies and plans to support the above

Qualifications & Requirements:-

  • Candidate must possess at least a BSc/BA in Business or another relevant field.
  • Minimum 7 years managing experience in multiple F&B outlets & group of area managers, with proven records of operational success in sales & cost control. Proven experience as Head of Operations, Operations Director, or similar leadership role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Analytical and report writing skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams
  • Business acumen and excellent with figures and P&L
  • Flexibility to travel between different outlets and locations as required
