Position Overview
The Head of Infra will be responsible for overseeing the information technology strategy and operations within the asset management company. This includes managing IT infrastructure, ensuring data security, and implementing technology solutions to support the company's business objectives. This is done in collaboration with other business unit heads and being the intermediary between Fund Management Division and Group IT.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the Infra team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. To take the lead in reviewing regulatory guidelines and ensuring compliance for applicable changes.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- IT Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Infra department, including system administration, and help desk support. Requires individual to be hands on and proactive in dealing with senior stakeholders.
- Technology Solutions: Identify and implement technology solutions to improve business processes and support the company's growth.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring that contracts and service agreements meet the company's needs.
- Budget Management: To have oversight on system enhancement changes and impact on budget to ensure that resources are allocated effectively.
- Project Management: Oversee projects, ensuring that they are completed timely and within budget.
Required skills and qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the financial services or asset management industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and enterprise applications.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, connect and develop a high-performing team.
- Project Management: Experience in managing complex IT projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
