Position : HEAD OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To analyzes, designs, develops and tests IMAS bilingual Arabic-English Learning Management System (LMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System to ensure computerizing all processes, meeting school changing requirements, and easy use.
As a head of information technology and a bilingual Arabic-English information system engineer, you will use your proficiency in both languages to serve as the single point of contact in developing our bilingual English-Arabic E-learning management system with our partners. You will interact with admin staff and teachers to ensure the highest level of user satisfaction is achieved.
Plans and conducts training secessions, classes and programs by both languages Arabic and English to IMAS staff and teachers of all levels. Provides information technology advisory and basic reference service.
Use ARABIC LANGUAGE and other working language skills to help limited-English teachers speak to digital content developers in Malaysia and overseas.
Perform analysis of project requirements and functional specifications, submit estimates, and create technical designs.
Identify and recommend new technology solutions that we can implement in our school
Guide activities in programming, system testing, documentation, and deployment according to IMAS development and change management standards
Follow a zero-defect mindset in developing, maintaining, testing and deploying software
Direct and support implementation of software and hardware upgrades
Review and provide guidance in problem identification, resolution, and implementation
Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex problems impacting service levels.
Manage a team of onshore and offshore software engineers
Provide a high level of customer support. Can be asked to operate as focal contact point for an application, group of applications, or specific customer group
Develop reliable metrics for hardware, software and storage while ensuring strategic capacity planning
Regularly review all information technology activities, suppliers and resources to ensure best value for money.
Complete comprehension of the IMAS information technology plan, researching and verifying staff/educator reports to quickly and accurately resolve user requests to satisfaction. This is a fast-paced position and requires a capable information technology specialist with bilingual English-Arabic speaker and high communication skill.
Education and /or Work Experience Requirements:
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Programming or related field
Must possess excellent verbal and written skills, in both ENGLISH and ARABIC.
Management experience in an IT environment is preferred
