The Hotel Logistics Director will be responsible for the development and execution of Crown Asia's Hotel Logistics strategy, ensuring alignment with Crown's overarching regional and global objectives. This pivotal role will drive innovation and expansion within the hospitality sector, encompassing global, regional, and local hotel and restaurant chains. The role will be a budget holder position responsible for the P&L.

The Hotel Logistics Director will play a crucial role in positioning Crown Asia as a leader in hospitality logistics, driving innovation, efficiency, and growth across the sector. This role will ensure that Crown's logistics solutions meet the evolving needs of the hospitality industry, delivering exceptional value to clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive logistics strategy tailored to the hospitality industry, enhancing Crown's service offerings and market presence to the OS&E (Operating Supplies and Equipment) / FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), rooms and services categories, ensuring Crown's objectives are being met and achieved.
  • Lead the development of new logistics solutions and services for hotels and restaurants, fostering growth and competitive advantage.
  • Ensure the logistics strategy aligns with Crown's global and regional goals, promoting consistency and synergy across all operations.
  • Oversee the financial performance of the Hotel logistics strategy, managing the Profit & Loss (P&L) to achieve financial targets and optimize resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the regional managers to ensure regional and global alignment and efficiencies in its offering.
  • Manage all facets of Hotel Logistics Segment-Specific Sourcing: Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans specifically tailored for the OS&E / FF&E, rooms and services categories ensuring the highest standards of quality, service and sustainability are consistently met.
  • Oversee the negotiation, evaluation, and management of supplier contracts to uphold Hotels and restaurants reputation for premium and exclusive experiences.
  • Stay attuned to evolving trends, market dynamics, and innovative technologies, leveraging these insights to drive innovation and elevate guest experiences.
  • Champion initiatives that align with Crown's commitment to environmental and social responsibility while maintaining the highest level of premium standards.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, particularly the brand marketing, Business Units and operations teams
  • Advise and support local sales teams, assist in identifying prospective clients and creating the go to market plan.
  • Ensure that compliance is delivered in accordance with Crown's Group Standards and Policies and adopt/adapt new processes to ensure that Crown remains compliant
  • Responsible for building credibility and growing market share.
  • Other duties as directed by Senior Management.

Professional knowledge and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, with at least 5 years of OS&E/FF&E, rooms and services category experience.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and developing strategies specifically designed for OS&E/FF&E, rooms and services categories.
  • Experience in dealing with Procurement House, Architect and Construction Operator.
  • Procurement House with Hotel and restaurant logistics experience an advantage.
  • FF&E and OS&E experiences Freight Forwarding, Consolidation, Warehousing, Pick & Pack, Load-in and Move-out, Onsite distribution and Installation & placement.
  • Onsite and Offsite Hotel & Restaurant project management experiences - Pre-opening, Renovation, and Dismantling.
  • Robust understanding of supplier markets across ASIAN countries within the OS&E/FF&E, rooms and services categories
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, with the ability to incorporate technology into source to contract process.
  • Role could be based in major cities of Asia: Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines
  • Up to 25% travel in the region and internationally may be required.
