Responsibilities:
You are required to perform these job functions:
- Able to handle FULL sets of accounts and assist in preparation of monthly full set accounts, financial and management reports (including Consolidation report)
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including account payable/receivable, general ledger, and revenue recognition.
- Implement and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures that comply with applicable laws and company standards.
- Drive the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Coordinate and lead the preparation for annual audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure the audit process is efficient and compliant.
- Develop and monitor business performance metrics, providing insights and analyses to guide strategic decision-making.
- Mentor, train, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager and other senior management to support overall department goals and objectives.
- Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.
- Lead special projects, such as system implementations or process improvements, to enhance the financial infrastructure of the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree or professional accounting designation (such as CPA, CA, ACCA) preferred.
- Proven experience in managing a comprehensive set of books and records and the production of financial statements.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing a team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and systems, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting tools.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of an organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
