We are embarking on an exciting new chapter by launching an Islamic Banking Window within our digital bank. As the Head of Islamic Banking Window, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading this innovative initiative. You will be responsible for building a robust Islamic Banking offering that caters to the growing demand for Sharia-compliant financial services in the digital space.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and launch of a comprehensive Islamic Banking portfolio aligned with Sharia principles and digital banking best practices.
- Oversee all aspects of the Islamic Banking Window, including product development, online onboarding, customer service, and risk management.
- Ensure strict adherence to Sharia compliance through close collaboration with the Sharia Board.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Sharia scholars, fintech partners, and key stakeholders.
- Drive customer acquisition, engagement, and satisfaction for the Islamic Banking Window.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the Islamic Banking Window within the digital bank's existing customer base and attract new customers.
- Manage and grow a team of qualified Islamic banking professionals in a virtual environment.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in digital Islamic finance and identify new business opportunities.
- Prepare regular reports on the performance of the Islamic Banking Window for senior management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in Islamic banking products within the banking or fintech industry, preferably with exposure to digital banking environments.
- Strong understanding of banking products, services, and customer expectations.
- Familiarity with the regulatory landscape of the Malaysian banking industry.
- Proven track record of success in launching and managing Islamic Banking products or services.
- In-depth knowledge of Islamic banking principles and Sharia compliance.
- Strong understanding of the digital banking landscape and customer experience best practices.
- Excellent business acumen with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute digital marketing strategies.
- Experience in product development and management within the Islamic Banking industry (bonus points for experience in digital product development).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Melayu, proficiency in other local languages is an advantage.
