Job Description
As the Director/Head of our Global Command Center, you will lead a team responsible for continuous monitoring of our enterprise IT environment and rapid response to any incidents. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and incident management. You will ensure that our global operations are robust, secure, and consistently deliver optimal performance.
Key responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy:
Develop and implement strategies for 24/7 monitoring and incident response.
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of IT professionals.
Collaborate with other department heads to align the command center's goals with the company's overall IT strategy.Enterprise Monitoring:
Oversee the monitoring of all IT systems, networks, and other infrastructure.
Ensure the use of advanced monitoring tools and techniques for proactive issue detection.
Analyze trends to predict potential issues and plan preventative measures.Incident Response:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive incident response plan.
Coordinate rapid and effective response to IT incidents, minimizing impact on operations.
Conduct post-incident reviews and implement continuous improvement measures.Communication and Reporting:
Maintain clear communication channels with all stakeholders during incidents.
Provide regular reports on command center activities, incident outcomes, and system performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and corporate policy requirements in reporting and operations.Budget and Resource Management:
Manage the command center's budget, ensuring effective resource allocation.
Evaluate and recommend investments in technology and training to enhance capabilities.
Requirements
Good knowledge of information technology infrastructure domains such as compute server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, network devices, enterprise backup, technologies and architectures, IT service delivery principles and best practices.
Good understanding of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud computing operations (Azure/GCP) and transition.
Highly technical and analytical, possessing 10 or more years of progressive technology implementation and operational experience.
Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills, and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships
Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work, both personally and at a team level.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in enterprise monitoring and incident response.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and network management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle crisis situations effectively.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, ITIL, CISM) are a plus.
