Job Purpose
Develop Enterprise Risk Management tools, practices and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks and manage risks according to Affin's risk management framework.
Monitor and analyze risks within Affin's business units and report these risks to GBRMC, AiBB and ABB Board through the Group Enterprise Risk Dashboard.
Ensure Affin's enterprise risk management policies and strategies follow applicable regulations, rating agency standards and strategic imperatives of the organisation.
Ensure that the Stress Test exercise is conducted in a robust manner and meets the regulatory requirements.
Lead the Risk Intelligence Unit, developing and executing a comprehensive risk intelligence strategy aligned with the bank's objectives.
Lead the climate risk stress testing exercise as required under the BNM Climate Risk Stress Testing (CRST) PD.
Accountabilities
Lead the preparation and consolidation of the monthly Group Enterprise Risk Dashboard for Management and Board reporting.
Lead Support secretariat function for Group Board Risk Management Committee including preparation of meeting agenda, meeting minutes and compilation of meeting papers for submission to Group Board Risk Management Committee.
Lead the Material Risk Assessment and Risk Appetite Statement Setting as part of the ICAAP exercise on an annual basis.
Facilitate periodic review of policies and manuals related to Enterprise Risk Management function.
Monitor risk initiatives progress and action plans across risk departments.
Lead the stress testing and scenario analysis for regulatory and internal purposes including BNM regulatory stress test, Recovery & Resolution Planning and Climate Risk Stress Testing.
Coordinate and consolidate responses to audit observations or findings from internal/external auditors, or regulators (if any).
Perform other duties and ad-hoc analysis reports as and when assigned by the immediate superior and Head of Department.
Ensure that the Shariah Risk is well managed with adequate reporting of the relevant risks to GBRMC and AiBB Board.
Lead the Climate Risk Scenario Analysis and ensure successful completion by December 2024 and the continued integration of the climate risk into enterprise-wide risk management.
Lead the enhancements to the RRM system to cater for Basel III revisions.
Developed the Group Risk Strategy and Target Operating Model (TOM) Document in 2024 and will need to ensure that the documents remain fit for purpose.
Enhance existing GRC awareness programme including awareness and incorporation of risk culture metrics.
Lead the establishment of the Financial Risk Management (risk data repository).
Lead the enhance existing system to cater for stress test analysis and simulation.
Job Requirements
Degree/Masters in Business Administration/Finance/Economics or related fields.
At least 10 years experience in Risk Management, Compliance and related areas in the financial industry or business/corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of Risk Management, Compliance and/or Audit.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good presentation skills.
Solid analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills with high attention to details.
Ability to work independently and interact successfully with strong personalities in a high pressure, deadline driven environment.
Ability to effectively work with a diverse group of stakeholders within first and second line of functions.
Managing a diverse workload with the ability to constantly re-prioritize.
IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
