Job Description
- Evaluate Requirements for New Introductions
- Participate in evaluating new technology, material, equipment, and process changes during the quotation process.
- Feedback on Yield
- Provide feedback on yields during the MFS (Manufacturing Flow System) process from ETO's development stage.
- Commitment on Warehouse Virgin Yield
- Provide yield commitments at OE (Original Equipment) article level to KAMs, GTS, and Global Demand Management.
- Optimize Yield Performance
- Recommend and implement improvements to optimize yield and meet virgin yield targets (Visual, TU, TG, TB).
- Drive Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives to improve and maintain virgin yield targets for OE and replacement parts.
- Steer yield improvement activities and oversee the performance of the Uniformity department.
- Statistical Analysis and Process Optimization
- Analyze data, optimize processes, and apply standard work procedures with a focus on OE virgin yield.
- RN Acceptance Process
- Involved in the RN acceptance/release 3-4-1 process, approving warehouse yield.
- Technology and Process Changes
- Approve changes to existing technology, material, equipment, and processes with yield performance impact.
- Root Cause Analysis
- Perform root cause analysis to address low-yield performance issues.
- Authority to Stop Production
- Authorized to stop production to resolve yield-related issues, involved in the RICP process, and plant allocation decisions.
- Yield Estimation and Data Provision
- Provide yield data for ORBIT and RN processes for warehouse yield acceptance.
- Reporting and Continuous Improvement Proposals
- Provide regular statistical reports, highlight improvements, and propose optimization plans for new OE introductions.
- Customer Complaint Support
- Serve as a key resource for addressing plant-related customer complaints.
- Quality Standards Compliance
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, and support corrective actions to achieve scrap and waste reduction targets.
- Problem Solving and Corrective Actions
- Lead structured problem-solving activities to reduce scrap and customer complaints.
- Quality Records and Reporting
- Ensure proper quality records preparation (SPC/QDA, control charts) and maintain robust reporting practices with escalation procedures.
- KPI and Scrap Reduction
- Focus on reducing plant scrap and achieving yield-related KPIs.
- Conformity with Standards
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards for quality, environmental, safety, and health management.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing/ Technical Field especially Electrical and Electronic Engineering related course.
Min 5-8 Years working experience in Production, Quality, Process Development, Product Industrialization.
Knowledge about resolving issues related to Tire Uniformity will be an advantage
Ability to lead projects and successfully completed minimally two projects.
Qualitative abilities including strong Analytical, Technical Proficiency, Effective Problem Solving & Decision Making and driving Performance
Well versed in QC tools, Structure Problem Solving, Quality planning and monitoring
Self-motivated, assertive, team player with strong work ethic
Able to work independently in a results-driven and fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with and in international teams
Advanced Business English experiences & business travelling.
